C-Store Project Planning
Planning a new convenience store or remodel? Start with a clear list of the fixtures you need. Cabinets, beverage stations, checkout counters, shelving, and displays should fit your space and the way your team works.
You do not need to make every choice before asking for a quote. Share what you know, note what is still undecided, and ask what else the supplier needs.
This checklist will help you prepare a convenience store fixture quote request for custom c-store fixtures.
Tell the supplier what you plan to change or build. You may need a full fixture package for a new store or just new cabinets for a coffee area.
Include the store address, number of locations, and target completion date. For a remodel, explain whether the store will stay open during the work.
If the project will happen in stages, share that plan too. It can affect when fixtures need to arrive and where they can be stored.
Make a list of the products you need and how many of each. Common items include c-store cabinets, beverage stations, foodservice counters, checkout counters, shelving, and displays.
Be as specific as you can. “Two back-counter storage cabinets” gives the supplier a clearer starting point than “new cabinets.”
Label each item on your plans so it is easy to match the list to the drawing. If you are unsure which fixtures you need, explain how you want to use the space.
Send a floor plan or sketch with the space marked out. Photos of the current store can also help show where the new fixtures will go.
Include wall lengths, counter sizes, door locations, and nearby equipment. Note any tight spaces that may affect delivery or placement.
Say whether the measurements have been checked at the store. Before work begins, agree on who will confirm the final sizes.
For convenience store beverage stations and foodservice counters, share the equipment details as early as you can. Coffee brewers, fountain dispensers, and ice machines each need the right amount of space.
Send the brand, model number, and specification sheet for each unit. These sheets show sizes, connection needs, and the space needed around the equipment.
Explain who will supply each unit and whether you plan to reuse any equipment. This helps the team plan cabinet openings, counter space, and access for service.
Think about what your staff needs to store and reach each day. Do you need drawers, shelves, locked storage, or space for cups and cleaning supplies?
For convenience store cabinets, share your preferred colors, materials, countertops, and hardware. Include brand standards or photos of fixtures you want to match.
If you have not chosen a material, describe how the area will be used. Ask the supplier which options fit that use and your budget.
For more than one store, explain which fixtures will stay the same and which may change. Share the number of stores and the order in which they need fixtures.
If you plan to test the fixtures at one store first, say so. Also name the person who will approve drawings, equipment choices, and finishes.
A clear approval process helps the supplier plan the next steps and flag decisions that could affect the schedule.
Ask the supplier to state what the quote includes. Does it cover delivery, unloading, assembly, or installation?
Share any limits on truck access, delivery times, or work hours. Note whether there is room to store the fixtures before they are installed.
Agree on who will remove old fixtures and handle plumbing or electrical work. These tasks should be clear before you compare quotes or set a work schedule.
That is fine. Send what you have and mark the items that still need a decision. Ask what can be quoted now and what must be confirmed later.
When comparing quotes, check that each covers the same products, amounts, materials, and services. Ask about anything that is left out or based on an estimate.
